Social Development Strategy (SDS)

Communities That Care’s Social Development Strategy is the third component of the PROMISE Project. SDS can be taught to and implemented by positive, prosocial adults that interact with children on a regular basis, such as teachers, coaches, church leaders, community volunteers, among others. SDS is an evidenced based framework which organizes protective factors into an easy to understand strategy. This strategy can assist adults in helping youth

  • become positive members of the community
  • make positive decisions
  • develop into productive members of society, resulting in overall positive youth development.

COGI is planning to host four (4) trainings annually.   If you or your organization are interested in hosting or participating in one of these trainings, please contact Lisa DeHaven, Project Coordinator at ldehaven@coginc.org
